Yesterday was Papaw Dingmore's birthday. We have a tradition in our family for Papaw's birthday. Because our children never got to meet him, we wanted to make sure they knew him and remembered him. So, each year on his birthday, we reminisce about funny stories about Papaw, let the kids each write him a note, tie it to a balloon, then send Papaw balloons in Heaven.
It has become a very special and fun time for our family. Especially when Mamaw's here to enjoy it with us.
