PC Volunteers Rock!
This morning, when the storm hit...5:45 AM, sirens blaring, wind blowing, rain coming down in sheets, limbs and trees falling...our PC volunteers were getting out of bed and going to set up.
Jerry got to Stratford to set up at 6:30, there were 10 volunteers there ready to set up, and set up they did.
In the dark.
Because we had no power.
Several crossed downed power lines to get there.
With a joyful heart and spirit.
By 8:30, about 40 volunteers were there. Amazing.
By 9:00, we had decided to call church off as they were broadcasting to not leave your home, to stay off the roads.
One of our key volunteers came up and asked how much the rent for Stratford was, and wrote a check to cover it right there.
On the spot.
Our volunteers packed everything back in the truck, with never a complaint.
Some drove 30 minutes, some drove an hour to get there, but they were there...
Because that's the kind of volunteers we have.
They absolutely blow me away...
One by one, several PC folks stopped by just to see if we were having church;
they just wanted to be together
to see their "family"
many dropped off their tithe, because they know it's important to be obedient...
Several have called ready to get out and serve our community tomorrow...
The movement of Christ called Piedmont is inexplicable...
God is doing something incredible and I'm just glad to be a part.

Blah, Blah, Blog...
I know, I know, it's been two weeks since I posted...can you tell it's spring??
Who wants to be inside when...
there are walks to be taken
kids to be played with
swings to be swung
ballgames to watch
husbands to hold hands with
flowers to plant
frisbees to throw
bird nests with new baby birds to watch over
balls to throw
caterpillars, ladybugs and butterflies to watch
strawberries to pick
But I promise, I will blog something soon...God has been doing all kinds of tweaking in my life over the past few weeks...so fresh I'm still processing...
